Neiman Marcus Downtown hosted a VIP luncheon and trunk show for designer Brandon Maxwell.
THE PARTY Texas native Brandon Maxwell—a Longview kid who got his big break styling Lady Gaga and who recently accepted the CFDA Swarovski Award for Womenswear—came back to the Lone Star State for an afternoon at the Neiman Marcus Downtown store.
THE GUESTS Nancy C. Rogers—in head-to-toe Brandon Maxwell, of course—hosted the VIP luncheon, where she and Maxwell were joined by the design darling’s proud mother and grandmother, as well as Dallas fashionistas like stylist Nini Nguyen, Cindy Rachofsky, Muffin Lemak, Katy Bock, Leisa Street, Jamie Condon, Reed Allen and more.
THE HIGHLIGHTS Designer buyer Hillary Sessions sat down with Maxwell for a Q&A about his meteoric rise to fame, followed by an intimate runway show featuring his black-and-white fall 2016 collection. Afterward, 40 guests sat down to lunch at a gorgeous gold mirrored table by Bella Accento, the length of which Rusty Glenn had lined with bright bouquets of pink roses and lilies. Champagne flowed freely while the Texas-bred designer spent his afternoon reveling with some of the city’s most stylish women. -Nadia Dabbakeh
